What time will the movers arrive on moving day? Our slots are window slots and provide the range of time in which the movers will arrive. The supervisor will contact you with an ETA when the crew is en route on moving day.
How long will the move take? The total time of the move depends on the complete inventory and the ease of access at the origin and the destination.
What do I need to mention in order to receive an accurate quote? Be sure to provide the complete inventory along with information pertaining to stairs, elevators, difficult entries, long-carries and steep driveways as each has an impact on the total time of the move.
Do I really need to provide the entire inventory? We understand that sometimes a couple of items don’t quite make it to the inventory list. However, each estimate is based upon the inventory provided during the initial quote. Changing the inventory could change the estimate, so it’s best to be as accurate as possible and provide updates, if applicable, prior to moving day.
Do you provide packing services? Not at this time. Sorry about that! Please have all of your items packed and ready to go prior to the crew’s arrival on moving day. Be sure to wrap each item individually to ensure protection. It is best to use packing paper or newspaper to wrap items.
Does everything need to be boxed? Yep! All items need to be boxed to ensure safe transport. Large glass pieces, art and mirrors should be wrapped in cardboard and securely taped to provide adequate protection.
Are there weight limits on the boxes? Yep! For the safety of our crew members and your belongings, there is a 50 pound limit on boxes. Boxes should also be taped securely shut and in stable condition.
What is included in the rate? Our rates for A to B moves include furntiture blankets, stretch wrap, straps and dollies. Disassembly and assembly of furniture items is included as a courtesy. For load-only moves, the rate includes stretch wrap and dollies along with disassembly as needed for furniture items. For unloads, the rate includes dollies and assembly as needed for furniture items. Unfortunately, we do not provide disasssembly and assembly for pressed wood furniture.
Is it okay if I follow the movers around during the move? For your own safety and the safety of the crew, it is imperative that you give the movers adequate space to safely move your items. Please avoid closely following behind the movers while they are handling furniture.
Do you move plants? Nope! Sorry about that! Please prepare to move plants within your personal vehicle.
Do you provide wall protection? Nope! Sorry about that! You will need to install protection prior to the crew’s arrival on moving day. We suggest taping cardboard along the wall in high-traffic areas for protection. Be sure to use painter’s tape when securing the cardboard to avoid the tape damaging the wall!
Do you provide floor protection? Nope! Sorry about that! You will need to install protection prior to the crew’s arrival on moving day. We suggest placing carpet sheild (a sticky film) over the carpet in high-traffic areas for protection. Thin cardboard can be securely taped to hardwood floors with painter’s tape for protection. Be sure to avoid placing floor protection where the main furniture items will be placed.
Do you transport weights? Yep! However, only if they are in a plastic container or a crate. Unfortunately, we are unable to move weights packed in boxes.
Do you transport unboxed lamps? Nope! Sorry about that! Unboxed lamps can become damaged and cause damage to other items during transit. Please prepare to move unboxed lamps within your personal vehicle.
Can items be left within my drawers? Nope! Sorry about that! In order to avoid damage and items being lost during your move, all items should be removed from the drawers prior to the crew’s arrival on moving day.
Will you move items from my attic? Nope! Sorry about that! Please bring your items down from the attic to an area easily accessible to the crew prior to the crew’s arrival on moving day. The crew will move items from a walk-up attic.
Will you move items from my shed? Sure! As long as the items are free of debris, the crew will move items from the shed. However, we can’t move items that are covered with ants, spiders, spider eggs, rat droppings or dirt. Please re-box such items and we will gladly transport them. In the event that the path to the shed is obstructed by standing water, excessive mud, or debris, please move your items to an area easily accessible to the crew prior to the crew’s arrival on moving day.
Do you service all homes? Unfortunately, we are unable to service homes that are larger than 3,200 square feet. Sorry about that!
